ITCA Abu Dhabi, the new Trade show and networking forum was held for the first time in November 2012 in partnership with SIAL Middle East and it was sponsored by Etihad Airways.  The next ITCA Abu Dhabi is 24 – 26 November 2013.

The International Travel Catering Association’s 2011 Mercury Awards were presented at the ITCA Gala dinner which was held in the beautiful setting of the Shangri-La Hotel waterside gardens on 27th November 2012. “It was a well attended event in dramatic surroundings” said Stephen White, ITCA President.”This was the first time we have taken Mercury out of Europe and it was yet another tremendous demonstration of innovation that exists within our industry”.

ITCA and Reed Exhibitions  – The ITCA European Trade Show was acquired by Reed Exhibitions Ltd in 2011. ITCA continues to run its Mercury Awards and in 2012 launched the first of the annual ITCA Abu Dhabi trade shows and Networking Forums in conjunction with SIAL Middle East and sponsored by Etihad Airways.

144 Operator Companies (Airline, Train and Shipping) were represented at the ITCA event in Nice 2011 – this figure shows a 23% increase on ITCA 2009 in Barcelona.

Now in its 30th year some 135 International Exhibiting Companies were kept busy right from the opening of the show by over 1,500 Professionals directly linked to the On Board Service Industry from food and wine, to earphones and headrests and catering companies and logistics companies  all of which are served by ITCA.
