This is not just a change of name but a momentous leap into the future.

Members will now benefit from the extra networking opportunities resulting from the introduction of not only Airline and Rail operators but now also Ferry and Cruise liners from around the world.

At an extraordinary general meeting at its conference and trade show in Copenhagen, the board of IFCA presented its new Memorandum and Articles of Association which were duly adopted.

The main elements of change in the constitution were:

Association membership opens up to Sea Ferries and Cruise liners.

IFCA changes its name to ITCA – International Travel Catering Association.

Supplier members now have equal status with operators (air, rail and sea) and with caterers and become full members.

The new board of itca is to be made up of five operators, five caterers and five suppliers.

The presidential term is now three years and for the sake of continuity, at the end of the president's term he/she becomes chairman for three years.
