HAWAIIAN AIRLINES“Hawaiian Airlines SkyBuy Program ”
Innovation :
Hawaiian airlines have enhanced the onboard experience by offering their customers a range of destination specific activities. Passengers can select from a wide range of exciting options such as a luau, snorkeling with dolphins, a show or scenic dinner cruise while en route from the mainland to Honolulu. While enjoying the great onboard hospitality in the air they can plan and book various fun activities hassle free and save time when reaching their destination. This is the first step in offering unlimited options for Hawaiian customers to utilize their flight time to better enjoy their experience when starting their vacation.
Quality in Application Hawaiian Airlines has partnered with SkyBuy by Arinc using Expedia, to expand the onboard sales offering to include much more than the traditional sales, virtual products. By partnering with SkyBuy, Hawaiian is able to generate additional ancillary revenue without any risk or investment while enhancing the overall customer experience, giving them the unique ability to purchase destination specific packages while en route. With the easy to use SkyBuy electronic point of sale (ePOS) device the passengers can make reservations and pay for the event with cash or credit card while onboard. The data is then transmitted via WiFi upon arrival.
Internal and External Customer Satisfaction :
By partnering with SkyBuy and offering the Expedia packages, Hawaiian has taken the first step into tapping the huge ancillary revenue opportunity, at the same time offering services not previously available to the passengers once onboard the flight. The opportunity to increase ancillary revenues for airlines is unlimited and will expand significantly as Arinc/SkyBuy offers the ability to have real time communications through the ePOS in-flight. As opposed to previous onboard sales of food and drink, items that were previously free, the customers will enjoy the benefit of purchasing time saving services such as onward transportation, hotel or restaurant reservations.

BRAND STAND“- The Healthy Olive Snack ”
Innovation :
Under the slogan 'a little love in every olive' Oloves are a new addition to the snacking market bringing a healthier alternative to crisps, nuts and sweets. Each liquid free pack contains naturally tasty Spanish pitted olives, perfect for nibbling. Oloves are available in 30g packs with a two year shelf life and there is absolutely no need to keep them in the fridge. The Green olives contain only 50 calories per pack so they are a healthier option for all snacking lovers, ideal for transport industry.
Quality in Application
Our Oloves are packed in convenient little aluminum foil fresh pouches which once opened fold out to form a small bowl shape which make it easy to reach the olives with your fingers. The packs are pre sealed therefore much more hygienic than dispensable olives and much more convenient to save washing up ramekins or plates. The are packed in shelf ready boxes of 12 unit per case and for transport industry in boxes of 48 units. Oloves are a member of 1% for the Planet where 1% of sales goes towards environmental stewardships. Internal and External Customer Satisfaction :

THAI INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES“GAP (Good Agricultural Practice ”
Innovation :
The farmers in the Northern part of Thailand were used to get paid in kilo for their produce. This resulted in sizes that were not of a good qulity and something we could not use in our production. A cooperation with Kasetsart University was established to educated farmers to deliver safe, reliable products to our specification. from a start 5 years ago the cooperation was renewed 14 March 2008 for another 5 years. Right now 70% of our vegetables and fruit suppliers are in the scheme and it is our intention to include all within the next 2 years.
Quality in Application
The Farmers are educated and advised by staff from the University and Thai Catering, the are continuously monitored and advised by local staff and are audited by central staff from the University. the program has resulted in Thai Catering receiving guaranteed high-class product thereby eliminating waste, has enabled us to pay the farmers more as they deliver exactly to our specifications and the University has got a practical way of educating their students in agricultural practices in praxis and not only in the classroom Internal and External Customer Satisfaction :
The entry ensure that we can supply all our passengers onboard THAI and those of our client airlines with a safe and guaranteed product, and especially today with the recent scares out of China, I believe Thai catering has entered into a new field within airline catering by combining practice and theory and forging a 3 way partnership for the future

Our software platform, Air-Meals R1, enables passengers to purchase meals on-line at time of booking. When buying tickets on a carrier's website, passengers are presented with meal option available on their flight. A selection is added to the ticket price at checkout. Air-Meals R1 captures their order then sends it to the carrier's designated caterer. The dispatch office view aggregated orders in Air-Meals R1 then prepares and uplifts as usual. While offering ancillary services on-line is not new, pre-ordering of meals is innovative and patents are pending in both the U.S. A. and Europe.
Quality in Application
Air-Meals R1 enables pre-ordering, which lifts meal sales and profits margins. Carriers (and caterers) can expect 10-15% volume increase over buy-on-board programs as well as higher margins. This twin benefit is accomplished by offering passengers a broad menu of meals across a wide price continuum that impossible for buy-on-board. With pre-ordering, carriers can offer a very broad selection of snack boxes, fresh meals and hot entrees to economy class passengers ranging from $5 to $20. With significantly larger menu, passengers are more likely to buy a meal, including higher margin premium meals. Internal and External Customer Satisfaction :

Innovation :
A-LogEqu (Aviation Logistic Equipment) is an innovative, maintenance free and eco-friendly system of galley inserts, meeting the problems of known ovens, (dry ice-) fridges and coffeemakers, which are caused by high maintenance, costly energy consumption, heavy wirings and hygienic problems in piping. With its leading edge thermal insulation technology the modular containers can be used to store hot and cold goods prepared by the caterer for up to 20 h without any energy consumption aboard. The idea is that hot and cold goods will be prepared by the caterer, liquids are filled in bag-in-packs (known from wine) and stored in modular A-LogEqu Units.
Quality in Application
The modular A-LogEqu is good for nearly all liquids without gas and lots of meals, also for ice cream, caviar, wine and dry ice (storage 40h instead of 5h today)… This leads to hot drinks or meals from the first second on even on short haul flights while being absolute hygienic and with constant controllable quality and additional possibilities to reduce catering loading quantum. One is able to save some 100kg only wirings, pipes …, additional some 100kg of equipment-weight or volume of 25 units (245 seats). It's maintenance-free and flexible starting with the galley planning. It is easy to implement, handle and use. Internal and External Customer Satisfaction :

Because the airlines are able to save a lot of money, the caterers will find new and attractive business models to increase turnover while leading parallel to closer business relationship.
